The TYPO3 project was initiated in 1997 by Danish developer Kasper Skårhøj. Read a short history of the TYPO3 project. Kasper is no longer involved in the project, and the TYPO3 Association has taken over the responisbility to coordinate the project and manage the TYPO3 brand.
